Why I built this site, and what lives here.
This is the first post on the new site. It’s built with Astro: the pages you’re reading are static HTML, generated at build time from Markdown files kept in Git.
Two things live here for now:
- Writing, like this post.
- A recipe archive — recipes I cook often, kept in one place so I don’t have to scroll past someone’s life story every time I want to make crêpes.
Recipes are added by a small Python pipeline that reads a page or a photo and writes a structured Markdown file into this repo. A push rebuilds the site.
